How to Play Spider Solitaire

Spider Solitaire uses 104 cards (two standard decks) spread across 10 tableau columns. Your goal is to build eight complete sequences from King down to Ace in the same suit. Once a complete sequence forms, it's automatically removed from the board.

Core Rules

• You can move any face-up card onto a card that's one rank higher, regardless of suit.
• You can only move a group of cards if they form a sequence of the same suit.
• When all tableau columns have at least one card, deal a new row from the stock (10 cards, one to each column).
• Empty columns can be filled by any card or legal group.

Choosing Your Difficulty

1 Suit: Only spades are used. All sequences automatically match in suit, making groups easy to move. Great for learning the basic mechanics. 2 Suit: Spades and hearts appear. Now you need to plan which suit you're building. 4 Suit: All four suits are in play. Every move matters — the game is notoriously difficult but deeply rewarding when you win.
